The scholarship program of Bank of Georgia was created to support talented and promising young people and has already provided the opportunity for over 350 students to fully or partially fund their education.
Experience of Rezo Qavelashvili
One of this year's scholarship recipients is Rezo Qavelashvili, who studies at the Faculty of English-speaking Design at the Georgian Technical University: "I have been interested in design since childhood, and I have always loved creative sandbox games: Minecraft, Sims, where I could create what made my heart happy. I have always loved drawing, which played an important role in choosing my future profession. In the future, I want to turn the ideas I have been thinking about since childhood into reality."
The Importance of Scholarship
Rezo explains that the scholarship is not just about obtaining funding, and he continues his studies with even greater motivation: "For me, the scholarship is, first of all, the appreciation of the nights spent working on design projects and studying. I am now more motivated because I know that hard work will surely be appreciated. The main motivation comes from the desire to maximize my skills. I want every step I take to lead to the next, and for that, constant development and seeking new opportunities are necessary."
Advice for Future Applicants
Rezo also shared his own experiences and advice with future applicants: "One of the stages of the competition is a motivational letter, which I wrote with all my heart and spoke sincerely about my goals. I would advise others to be sincere above all. There is no right formula, there is your story, motivation, and desire. You should not be afraid to present yourself and appreciate the journey you have taken. The most important thing is the effort itself; even the effort is already a step forward and helps you gain new experiences."
