How Bank of Georgia Became a Pioneer in AI Implementation in the Country and Worldwide

The significance of artificial intelligence is increasing daily in both global and local markets. For this reason, more and more organizations are trying to integrate AI capabilities into their daily operations.
As the largest financial institution in the country, Bank of Georgia is actively working to strengthen the technological ecosystem and support AI innovations. For this purpose, Bank of Georgia is the main sponsor of the 6th Change Inspire conference, a notable nationwide event, in partnership with HT Solution.
The event brings together both local and international experts who will discuss practical cases across four main areas: digital transformation, BIG Data, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
Speakers include Mikheil Nadareishvili, Director of the Data Analytics Department at Bank of Georgia, and Vaaja Mantua, IT Director.
“Utilizing artificial intelligence capabilities is a strategic priority for our bank. Our team has been working on developing and implementing AI solutions for over a decade” – Mikheil Nadareishvili.
Vaaja Mantua notes that AI has become a significant technological force in modern banking. “Artificial intelligence has proven to be just as transformative as the personal computer or mobile phone once was.”
Bank of Georgia uses artificial intelligence to enhance personalized customer experiences.
Additionally, Bank of Georgia is developing automated lending through AI capabilities.
“I would like to highlight our AI chatbot integrated into the mobile bank, which allows customers to receive answers to banking questions 24/7 from anywhere.”
The development of Bank of Georgia's internal Knowledge Base is one area where AI capabilities are actively leveraged.
The organization is also currently utilizing robotic technologies for code updates and process automation.
“We have specifically created a program for mastering generative AI technologies” - says Vaaja Mantua.
Mikheil Nadareishvili notes that the bank's advanced technological position is highlighted by an award from Global Finance.
The joint event of Bank of Georgia and HT Solution will take place on July 4 at Pullman Tbilisi Axis Towers.
